Junior high years in Kawagoe! Kôtarô works in a bookstore and would like to become a writer. Akane is an energetic young girl who loves to run. They both end up in the same class and are in charge of the equipment for a sports festival. A relationship slowly blossoms, despite their opposing personalities, particularly through the many exchanges they have on LINE, a messaging app. But there's also Takumi, who has been in love with Akane since high school, and Chinatsu, who has eyes for Kôtarô.
